1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using TripSplit (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use our Service.

2. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password.

You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

3. Use of Service & Restrictions

TripSplit is designed for sharing trip budgets and calculating group expenses. You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Upload or transmit any material that is defamatory, offensive, or otherwise objectionable.
• Upload receipt images containing malicious code, malware, or viruses.
• Attempt to bypass or manipulate the billing calculation algorithms or user account restrictions.
• Bypass any ad limits or rewarded ad systems.

4. Advertising and Monetization

You acknowledge and agree that the Service is supported by advertising revenue. The Service may display ads (including auto ads and optional rewarded ads to unlock premium expense list slots).

The types and extent of advertising by TripSplit on the Service are subject to change. Your interactions with advertisers found on or through the Service are solely between you and such advertisers.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of TripSplit and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy or reliability of expense calculation formulas, currency exchange rate conversions, database uptime, or data preservation.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall TripSplit, nor its directors, employees, or partners, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
